The preschool closes on NSW public and school holidays.

The preschool is licensed to cater for 20 children per day aged from 3 years to under 6 years of age.

Our fees

Tweed Heads Community Preschool operates as a non-profit organisation and receives financial income from the NSW State government (Dept of Education & Communities) funding, parent fees, fundraising and social functions.

All families attending the service are asked to pay fees. Fees are calculated on the combined income of the family.  Fees are due within the first three weeks of  term, and payment by instalment can be arranged but must be paid two weeks in advance at all times.

Two weeks notice is to be given in the event a child is leaving, otherwise two weeks of fees will be retained.

Funding will be targeted to children in their year before school and to disadvantaged children aged 3 years and over.  This means that children eligible for a funded preschool place under the new Preschool Funding Model will be either:

  • At least 4 years old on or before 31 July in that preschool year and not yet in compulsory schooling; or

  • At least 3 years old on or before 31 July and from a disadvantaged background (i.e. from a low income Health Care Card holding family and /or Aboriginal).

Child care benefit rebate

If eligible, parents can receive the minimum rate of the Commonwealth Child Care Rebate.  For more information contact the Family Assistance Office on 1300 653 227 or click here for their website. Due to government changes to Registered Care the preschool will not be able to offer Child Care Rebate from July 2, 2018.
